We were lazy this year and bought fireworks from the grocery store, instead of from the vendors in the parking lot. They turned out to be all poppers and snappers. We even tried lighting the "fuses" of these cone-shaped ones when (after glancing at the instruction label) we realized the "fuses" were actually only string used to pull. We pulled one and POP! Confetti everywhere. There were also little white things, tiny bags full of some kind of rocks that combust for a split second when you throw them on the ground. We probably got three hundred of those things. Maybe more.
Well, we got bored; so we brought out the torch. If they won't sparkle, we'll make 'em sizzle!
In other news, I'm thinking up a story about an emergency light and a sleeping security camera.
